Our Process
A North Texas Solar agent will schedule a call with you to ensure your residence or business is well qualified to switch to solar based on the roof structure, property shading, utility of choice, and finance options available. This short call is essential for us to understand your goals of switching to solar and answering any questions you may have.
Every property is different and every homeowner has unique needs. In our mind, that means every solar system should be different and 100% customized to your desired needs and goals. We custom-build your solar system (and backup power configuration) based on your preferences and budget.
Tab ContentOur solar design process is 100% transparent and collaborative. We review the proposed optimal photovoltaic system design with you and are happy to go over any questions or modifications requested. Additionally, once you are satisfied with your solar design, we conduct a thorough in-person site survey to ensure we have a rock-solid understanding of your property.
Switching to a renewable energy system you are comfortable with is easy with North Texas Solar. We make the switch as easy as possible on your end and do all the heavy lifting for you. Our office will help you review and approve the necessary agreements to grant permission for us to go to work for you and work to know your utility understands you are going solar.
Congratulations–you’re going solar! At this stage in the process, you will receive frequent updates as our team works through design, permitting, and HOA approval with the respective governing bodies. North Texas Solar has a combined 25 years of experience in the solar industry and we also have a master electrician to ensure this step of the process goes smoothly.
This is usually the stage in going solar where homeowners are the most excited: installation day. North Texas Solar’s leadership team will keep you informed regarding your installation specifics and our construction crews are not only specially trained, but truly diligent. Our goal is always to execute a perfect installation and leave your home better than it was before switching to solar.
North Texas Solar will do a final walkthrough inspection with you before submitting your system for permission to operate (PTO) with your utility. Our team will handle the final inspection process with the city and acquire the PTO from your utility company so your system is fully connected, compliant, and operational.
A few months after your system has been installed and saving you money, our office will reach out to gather your feedback on the entire experience. Your feedback will help us improve our systems and project management and it truly helps us become a better company. Lastly, we are always open to referrals and can share more information about our referral program.
